Speculation about Killmer's departure arose due to her character's long-distance relationship with Casey. Fans anticipated that Kilmer's character would relocate to be with her lover.
But, showrunner Derek Haas confirmed the medic remains a big part of the show and has a lot on her plate during Season 10.
Fans were also concerned that Killmer might be pregnant, which would provide an avenue for her exit from the show. The pregnancy scare became viral amongst the show's viewers, who suspected Kilmer's attire in the series was a deliberate attempt to cover her stomach.
The actress has mostly been seen wearing puffy coats. But reports confirmed that the "Behind the Mask" star is not pregnant, although she is happily married to her husband and "Behind the Mask" co-star Andrew Cheney.
